Robert Ritchey has a B.S in electrical engineering and has worked as a consultant for the last eight years. He has a very diverse background in hardware and software development that includes FireWire (1394a), broadcast video, computer video, computer graphics, and radar. For over 20 years he has integrated and programmed microcontrollers for use in embedded systems. He has been using the MSP430 family for the last three years in embedded design and has completed about 10 designs in that time. During this time he has developed a line of radio control accessories for the model aviation market that use the MSP430 micro-controller that he sells under the trade name of Smart-Fly. Murdock Taylor has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from NCSU and almost 25 years of product design experience with a wide variety of companies in a number of different areas. He currently works as a Design Consultant with Electronic Product Design & Development Consulting Services in Cary, NC, providing engineering services to clients. The services range from embedded system development utilizing the TI Ultra Low Power MSP430, mixed analog and digital circuit design, PCB design and layout, Fuzzy Logic & Neural Network based control systems, medical & industrial instrumentation, low power & battery-powered portable systems, to engineering documentation and project management. In his free time, Murdock enjoys sleeping, running, and skydiving, but not always in that order. He can be reached at mbingham@ipass.net.
