From basketball to rowing, electronic systems have changed the ways we score, monitor, and train for our favorite athletic activities. But is it really possible to combine electronics with the manly sport of professional bull riding? Of course! In this article, I’ll describe my Buckymeter, which is a compact sensor-based, data-logging system that’s poised to change the way the bull riding community trains for and scores its events (see Photo 1).
